快速成型系統(tǒng)可以根據(jù)零件的形狀,每次制做一個(gè)具有一定微小厚度和特定形狀的截面,然后再把它們逐層粘結(jié)起來(lái),就得到了所需制造的立體的零件。當(dāng)然,整個(gè)過(guò)程是在計(jì)算機(jī)的控制下,由快速成形系統(tǒng)自動(dòng)完成的。

將計(jì)算機(jī)內(nèi)的三維數(shù)據(jù)模型進(jìn)行分層切片得到各層截面的輪廓數(shù)據(jù),計(jì)算機(jī)據(jù)此信息控制激光器(或噴嘴)有選擇性地?zé)Y(jié)一層接一層的粉末材料(或固化一層又一層的液態(tài)光敏樹(shù)脂,或切割一層又一層的片狀材料,或噴射一層又一層的熱熔材料或粘合劑)形成一系列具有一個(gè)微小厚度的的片狀實(shí)體,再采用熔結(jié)、聚合、粘結(jié)等手段使其逐層堆積成一體,便可以制造出所設(shè)計(jì)的新產(chǎn)品樣件、模型或模具。
